How do I know which words to use?
So now that you have picked a strategy to implement, you have to decide which words are important in the unit. There a few places that you can look to find this information.
Unit Planning Guides
In each Unit Planning Guide, there suggested key concepts and content vocabulary words. These sections can be found following the TEKS, ELPS and CCRS. Unit Planning Guides are located under courses in the HUB. |
Lead4ward
For Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Geometry, we have documents for Lead4ward that include suggested vocabulary for each TEKS. These documents are located on the HUB in their corresponding content folder. |

Unpacking the standard is strategy where you look at the verbs and the context in which the concept should be taught. From there, you decide on activities that are at the correct level of rigor for the standard.
